VOK DAMS has created the opening celebration of the new production site, the Gigahub of Quest One. The event focused on Quest One’s forward-looking mission: by 2050, the company aims to avoid one percent of global greenhouse gas emissions through the use of its electrolyzers. VOK DAMS was responsible for the concept and execution of the opening celebration, with a focus on tailored, more sustainable solutions aligned with Quest One’s vision and products.
The opening of the Gigahub in Hamburg marked a comprehensive rebranding of Quest One. Previously known as H-TEC SYSTEMS, the company also introduced its new corporate design and company name with the inauguration of the modern production site. VOK DAMS designed the event to impressively showcase the innovative strength and sustainability vision of Quest One, further supporting the rebranding. With the opening of the Gigahub, Quest One embarks on the industrial series production of electrolyzer stacks, which are the technological core of electrolyzers. Electrolyzers are used for the production of green hydrogen. The inauguration of the modern production site solidifies Quest One’s position as a pioneer in the hydrogen economy and sends a clear signal for innovation and sustainability.
The opening celebration of Quest One’s Gigahub attracted around 880 guests, including employees and prominent figures from politics and business. Among the speakers, Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Hamburg’s First Mayor Dr. Peter Tschentscher, along with other high-profile speakers such as Robin von Plettenberg (CEO of Quest One), Dr. Uwe Lauber (CEO of MAN Energy Solutions), and Gunnar Kilian (Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MAN Energy Solutions and Volkswagen Group Executive Board member for Personnel and Truck & Bus), presented Quest One’s future vision. VOK DAMS orchestrated the contributions to provide the guests with inspiring perspectives. An emotional, intergenerational "Push the Button" moment on stage marked a powerful symbol for the beginning of Quest One’s sustainable future mission.
Through the visual Vision Walk in the Gigahub, which symbolically led to the tangible “1% goal,” guests were able to experience the company’s vision up close. The aim of the Vision Walk was to raise awareness of the urgency of current climate challenges while highlighting Quest One’s goal. Quest One aims to combat the climate crisis by avoiding one percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. Through an eye-catching and engaging presentation, guests were informed and actively inspired to join Quest One’s mission and work together towards a climate-neutral future. Employees were able to express their personal commitment to the company’s goals by leaving their signatures on the installation.
In planning and executing the event, VOK DAMS and Quest One placed great emphasis on agile and more sustainable solutions that were perfectly aligned with the company’s objectives and the event itself. This is reflected, among other things, in the use of green electricity, reusable solutions in catering, and the digital provision of all information to minimize paper consumption. Another focus was on the inclusive and barrier-free design of the event. VOK DAMS thus ensured that the event reflected Quest One’s ecological mission and social responsibility while also setting new standards for customized, sustainable solutions in the event industry.
“Creating Sustainable Results” is VOK DAMS’ motto, aimed at establishing sustainability as an integral part of events. The collaboration with Quest One demonstrates how innovative and sustainable concepts can be successfully implemented in the event industry.
