MEET TAIWAN Co-Project leader Lily Su engages with attendees through an interactive MICE Salon session, introducing Taiwan Business Event Corridor strategy.

On October 30, 2024, Taiwan MICE Talk, held at Taipei International Convention Center, brought together premier hosted-buyers and Taiwan's MICE industry.

The event emphasised Taiwan’s role as a global hub for world-class events, providing a comprehensive introduction to MICE innovations and forward-looking strategies, demonstrating Taiwan’s MICE industry on the world stage.

The event gathered more than 30 of Taiwan’s top MICE suppliers — from convention venues to Destination Management Companies (DMCs), Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs), and congress hotels — Taiwan MICE Talk provided an ideal platform for one-on-one appointments with international buyers from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, and Australia.

These strategic engagements resulted in over 100 meetings, further strengthening Taiwan’s ties with key international markets and laying the foundation for future collaborations that promise to elevate Taiwan’s global MICE standing.

Taiwan MICE Talk, a dynamic industry showcase, featured an innovative blend of an interactive talk show and a 3D virtual experience, highlighting Taiwan’s MICE expertise. This year, Taiwan Business Event Corridor as a shining testament to the nation's steadfast commitment to expanding its MICE infrastructure to meet global standards.

The event demonstrated Taiwan's readiness to host the world’s most prestigious events, featuring seven world-class venues including the Taipei World Trade Center, International Convention Center Tainan, and the state-of-the-art Messe Taoyuan Sustainability was a key focus, with Taiwan proudly highlighting its leadership in green building initiatives. Certified green venues, namely Nangang Exhibition Hall and Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, took the spotlight.

MEET TAIWAN, Taiwan's MICE promotion programme, outlined its ambitious MICE growth strategy, which is supported by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). The strategy focuses on innovation and integrates world-class venues aligned with city development and global business trends, positioning Taiwan as a leader in hosting major international conferences and exhibitions.

As Taiwan MICE Talk concluded, "Taiwan offers a unique blend of advanced technology, sustainability, and cultural richness. Its Business Events Corridor connects key cities, providing world-class venues and unforgettable experiences, making it the ideal destination for global events."
