Prague’s business events landscape has welcomed a new project that brings together three of the city’s leading venues: the Cubex Centre Prague (CCP), the City Conference Centre (CCC) and the Panorama Hotel Prague (PHP). Together, they create a comprehensive event solution that combines top-tier event facilities, expanded meeting capacity, and nearby accommodation for a seamless experience.
The Prague Event Hub (PEH) offers event organisers and association planners a comprehensive solution in a single location, with state-of-the-art technology, increased capacity and convenient accommodation. CCP is a premier event venue offering cutting-edge spaces designed for conferences, corporate gatherings, and large-scale events. However, it does not provide on-site accommodation. This is where PHP, located next door, plays a key role by offering convenient lodging options for event attendees. Meanwhile, the CCC, which is directly connected to Cubex via a shared foyer, enhances uptake by providing additional meeting rooms and event spaces. This seamless integration allows for hosting larger and more complex events effortlessly. “The collaboration between these entities began shortly after the inauguration of Cubex, and formalising it into a unified business project was the next natural step,” Jarka Krizkova, Director of Cubex, told us. PEH now aims to expand its partnerships in the Pankrác district – often referred to as the ‘Manhattan of Prague’ – due to its status as the city’s business hub. “This initiative goes beyond event spaces to include leisure activities that complement conferences and corporate events. The result is an innovative and comprehensive approach to event planning, setting new standards in the industry.”
The combined conference capacity of these three venues includes 20 rooms with adaptable layouts, accommodating events ranging from 30 to 2,000 participants. “Our flexibility lies in the ability to operate as a single entity, while retaining the option to provide services independently,” adds Krizkova. “This approach allows us to adapt to a wide range of client needs, scale events properly and allocate resources efficiently for marketing and promotion.” Another important advantage of this Hub is its compact layout, allowing easy navigation between locations and direct access to Prague’s historic centre. The Pankrác district boasts excellent infrastructure, a variety of restaurants, one of the city’s largest shopping centres and leisure activities. “This strategic location eliminates the need for complex transport arrangements. Unlike large conference centres on city outskirts, PEH offers convenience and efficiency, reducing unnecessary travel time and environmental impact,” says Krizkova.
As the name suggests, Cubex’s interior was inspired by Cubism. “We wanted to offer something as unique as Prague’s renowned Cubist architecture, while at the same time bringing this cultural heritage to a wider consciousness.” This cubist-inspired design was a key factor in CCP receiving the award for ‘best new venue’ in the 9th international competition of the Global Eventex Awards 2019. “Similar to how this avant-garde art movement was initially considered impractical, some sceptics questioned our decision to integrate such complex architectural elements,” Krizkova revealed. “However, several clients from all over the world tell us now that they have never encountered a venue like ours. For example, last year PEH’s three venues organised an event for a leading American technology company that maximised Cubex’s capabilities with remarkable impact.” While size and cost were once the main concerns, today priorities are increasingly focused on sustainability, cuttingedge technology and unique interior design – trends confirmed by international associations who choose Cubex precisely for these reasons.
“More than ever, clients are prioritising carbon footprint calculations following sustainability standards and criteria that both the event and the venue must meet,” says Krizkova. Cubex is located in a LEED Platinum-certified building, awarded only to structures that achieve the highest standards in energy efficiency, environmental design, water conservation, indoor air quality and sustainable development in general. “Among Czech venues, Cubex is at the forefront of sustainability, offering features such as rainwater harvesting for sanitation, electricity from renewable sources, automated LED lighting, among other environmentally friendly technologies. Thanks to this certification, we can provide not only a sustainable environment, but also accurate data for our clients to calculate the carbon footprint of their events.” The CCC is also dedicated to sustainability, actively participating in recycling programmes and minimising environmental impact through waste reduction efforts. In turn, PHP takes an environmentally responsible approach by implementing energy and water-saving processes, tackling food waste, ensuring the efficient use of resources and prioritising locally sourced products and suppliers in favour of the local economy.
Beyond its striking interior, Cubex excels in large-scale projections. With its avant-garde design, cutting-edge technology and attention to detail, CCP offers an environment where visual presentations take on a new emotional dimension, allowing event organisers to convey critical information and unique audiovisual experiences. “Traditional lecture and presentation formats that were common a few years ago no longer resonate with today’s audiences. Modern technology allows for captivating visual effects that increase audience engagement, influencing not only content but also the form and delivery methods,” explains Krizkova. At the heart of the venue’s Chameleon concept is a minimalist, neutral interior offering ample branding opportunities. An innovative approach that, with advanced lighting and projection technology, allows clients to transform events into unforgettable experiences. “Our main hall has 325 ceiling-mounted lighting bridges, allowing for infinite colour and lighting combinations. It also features immersive panoramic projections of up to 360 degrees, made possible by its column-free, curved-wall design. Additionally, our Media Wall – a 102m² projection surface in the foyer – allows planners to create an immediate ‘wow effect’ upon entry. Whether it is a corporate forum, product launch or membership conference, each event can be fully customised according to the organiser’s identity, creating a visually captivating environment,” she concludes.
