Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has made significant investments in world-class technology, enhancing the visitor experience and further solidifying its position as a hub for global thinkers and innovators.
MCEC’s renowned Plenary received a major overhaul with the installation of two ultra-modern LED screens.
The new screens can double in size, creating a more immersive and visually captivating experience for visitors. The wide viewing angle and flexible configurations ensures everyone in the room has enhanced visibility of the content.
The new LED screens are also 50% more energy-efficient, contributing to the venue’s energy reduction targets.
In addition to the upgraded Plenary screens, MCEC has installed new AMX control panels in all meeting rooms, including premium spaces.
The modern control panels offer an improved functionality and user experience, allowing the presenter to control everything from room lights to blinds, room temperature, speaker volume and music selections. The new panels also have a light-sensing feature, catering to diverse event requirements.
MCEC is proud to be one of the first deliveries made worldwide of the new AMX control panel and boast one of the largest fleets in the country.
MCEC’s Head of Technology, David Strangio said the new state-of-the-art technology provides the perfect backdrop for collaboration, knowledge sharing and transformative ideas.
“We source the latest technical innovations to deliver seamless and customisable events, leaving a lasting impression on attendees. We’re proud to work with industry-leading suppliers to take our tech offering to the next level,” he said.
“Not only do we carry an extensive premium product range, we also have a team of professionals who have deep technical expertise and knowledge of our infrastructure. We’re proud to have such a diverse team who understand what it takes to partner with our customers to design and run a successful event,” he added.
