The meetings industry in Estonia received a major boost today with the much-anticipated opening Hilton Tallinn Park, a 202-room, business-class hotel in central Tallinn.

The first venture of the world-renowned Hilton Hotels & Resorts chain in the Baltics, the 12-storey facility occupies a prime location overlooking a green area in the Estonian capital's commercial centre.

Interest in the hotel has already proven enormous, according to the hotel's General Manager Daniel Habersatter. “The demand for groups, conferences and events has exceeded our expectations and we expect a busy summer followed by a very busy remainder of the year,” he said.

Among the Hilton's starring features is an event hall accommodating 530 guests in theatre style, which sets a new record for the largest-capacity meeting room of all the city's conference hotels. The room is accentuated by natural daylight and comes with a spacious lobby area for coffee breaks, exhibitions and the like.

We're not surprised that the Hilton Tallinn Park is turning out to be such a hot topic among convention organisers, especially since we've been seeing more and more demand for hotels with larger conference rooms,” said Riine Tiigi, the ECB's Marketing Manager. “Beyond that, simply expanding the number of high-quality guest rooms in the city centre, within easy walking distance of the main conference venues, is a bonus in itself.”

In addition to sweeping views of the city's medieval Old Town and financial district, the Hilton offers a 24-hour fitness centre, a heated indoor pool and spa.
