Sustainable Business Event Experiences Available in Yokohama

Yokohama Convention & Visitors Bureau (YCVB), values sustainability in all its activities contributing to a greener, more inclusive, and culturally diverse world. 
Now more than ever, a sustainable approach is essential for successful international conferences and events. As such, they have created four sustainable experiences that are exclusively for business event participants, and unique to Yokohama City.

Yokohama Mobile Yoga

"Experience yoga anytime and anywhere in the vibrant metropolis of Yokohama."

This wellness activity can be held anywhere—parks, conference rooms, or exhibition halls. Inspired by Yokohama’s natural beauty, the yoga sessions use the calming sound of waves, delicate aromas, and images of Yokohama’s beautiful sea to create a relaxing and meditative experience for business event participants. To ensure accessibility to all, the sessions can be arranged for any level of experience, can be held in Japanese and English, and don’t require a change of clothing.
 

Sankeien Garden Immersive Experience

"Spend a quiet and contemplative morning away from the hustle and bustle of the city."

This exclusive event will allow business event participants to enter Yokohama’s most beautiful Japanese garden before the official opening time. A guide will be on hand to explain Sankeien’s rich history and culture, and participants will learn about the sustainability of traditional Japanese architecture. After the tour of the garden and the historic buildings, a mindfulness session will provide the perfect conclusion to a tranquil morning.

Other sustainable experiences are Minato Mirai Stand-Up Paddleboard Plastic Fishing, where participants can actively reduce plastic waste and enjoy dynamic views of Yokohama; and Cyclopolitain, which are eco-sightseeing taxis. All four of these experiences make use of local resources in a sustainable manner.
