The Seoul Convention Bureau will organize a SEOUL HUB to host the 59th ICCA Congress 2020, which will be in hybrid format for the first time in the history of ICCA. Considering the current pandemic situation and travel deprivation, the ICCA has adopted a hub-and-spoke system to include its members and industry stakeholders in an international network with multiple bases. Seoul has established a meeting point at COEX to be one of 6 centers in different regions, together with Cape Town, Kuching, Luxembourg, Malaga and Riyadh. There are also two virtual hubs for the Latin American and North American regions.
This is a unique opportunity for Seoul to introduce the city to the global MICE society, as the ICCA Congress is one of the must-attend events for professionals and stakeholders in the MICE industry. Participants will witness the latest trends in association meetings and the newest technologies for organising improved meetings with other meeting industry professionals and association executives. In addition to the enriched interactive programs in Kaohsiung, the highlight of the HUB SEOUL program will be the city's successful case studies in digitalisation, attracting and hosting international conferences during the pandemic, and how these cases will also lead to long-term benefits in the future.
