Russian Convention Bureau represents Russia at the international exhibition IMEX 2018

From May 15 till May 17, 2018, a key exhibition event in the field of event industry and incentive tourism, the largest international specialised exhibition IMEX-2018, where market professionals from 150 countries take part on an annual basis, will be held in Frankfurt (Germany).For the first time Russia will be represented at IMEX with a collective stand RUSSIA OPEN TO THE WORLD, organised by the Russian Convention Bureau.

The Russian Convention Bureau(National ConventionBureau Association)was established in November 2017 with support of the Government of the Russian Federation to form and promote a positive image of Russia as a favourable place to hold events of any scale and attract international meetings. Russian Convention Bureauis actively working to interact with buyers (professional event organisers, corporate customers, non-profit organisations, professional industry associations). Russian Convention Bureau’stasksinclude organisation of familiarisation tours to Russian regions for potential customers, as well as participation in tenders for the right to hold international events in the Russian territory. 

RUSSIA OPEN TO THE WORLD is the national stand of the Russian Federation representing the event potential of Russian regions at specialised exhibitions and fairs on the international market. The exposition under one brand will be organised by the Russian Convention Bureaufor the second time, and it takes into account the good experience received at IBTM World exhibition in Barcelona held in November, 2017. At IBTM World, the organisers and participants highly appreciated the work of the exposition, which found its reflection in positive feedback and intentions to cooperate in the future.

"One of the key tasks of Russia's participation in international events is to present the event potential of  the regions of our country and their infrastructural possibilities to the largest world market players," says the head of the Russian delegation, Director of National  Convention Bureau Association, Alexey Kalachev, "By collecting the Russian industry professionals at the national stand, we are planning not only to vividly show Russia's great potential but also to determine the prospects of cooperation with our foreign colleagues."

At the exposition RUSSIA OPEN TO THE WORLD, Russia will be represented by the key players of the Russian event industry market. These include representatives of national and regional companies in the meeting industry, congress bureaux, hotel networks, resorts, congress and exhibition centres, PCO and DMC from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, Krasnodar Territory, Sverdlovsk and Kaliningrad regions. 

Russian Collective Stand will become a single business space based on the principles of hospitality and openness. In the Presentation Zone the Russian regions will demonstrate their event opportunities. One of the presentations will be devoted to the World exhibition EXPO2025 in Ekaterinburg. During the work of the exposition, special attention will be paid to the forthcoming the FIFA World Cup 2018to be held in Russia for the first time.

Representatives of the Russian companies will be able to discuss the prospects of cooperation with international IMEX participants in the Networking area at the booth. Such format will provide for the effective dialog among market professionals and potential foreign partners.
