The Québec City Convention Centre has renewed its AIPC Quality Standards Gold Level Certification following a comprehensive external audit conducted as part of the AIPC Quality Standards Programme.
The recertification places the Centre among an elite group of more than 30 AIPC centres worldwide to have attained and maintained the programme’s highest level of international management standards.
Developed specifically for the convention centre industry, the AIPC Quality Standards Programme provides an independent assessment of management performance across key operational and strategic areas. It remains the only certification programme designed exclusively for convention and exhibition centres.
The Québec City Convention Centre’s Gold Level recertification reflects its continued focus on quality, operational excellence and continuous improvement. The external audit confirmed that the Centre continues to meet the standards required for requalification, supported by a comprehensive, well-documented submission, clear evidence and robust management processes.
The audit assesses performance across eleven key management areas, including customer service, facilities and operations, employee relations, health, safety and security, financial integrity, environmental responsibility, community relations, industry relations, inclusivity and supplier relations.
For participating centres, the audit process serves not only as an independent validation of existing practices but also as an opportunity to identify areas for further improvement and strengthen team engagement.
AIPC President Julianne Jammers congratulated the Québec City Convention Centre on its achievement: "Successfully renewing AIPC Gold Certification demonstrates an ongoing commitment to excellence, continuous improvement and international best practice. We congratulate the Québec City Convention Centre on maintaining this important industry benchmark and its dedication to delivering outstanding performance for clients, partners and the wider community."
Caroline Lepage, CEO of the Québec City Convention Centre, said: “For our clients and partners, this Gold certification is a tangible guarantee: when they choose the Québec City Convention Centre, they can trust they're working with a team held to the highest international standards. That trust is something we work to earn with every event we host.”
By renewing its Gold Level Certification, the Québec City Convention Centre reinforces its commitment to quality, accountability and continuous improvement, while strengthening its position as one of Canada’s leading convention centres and a trusted destination for international business events.
