After several hotel properties opening in Prague in previous years, 2024 is another banner year for hotel development in the City of Hundred Spires.
Three new significant additions announced their launch for this year, increasing the accommodation capacity of Prague by 840 stylish guest rooms. The first and largest one opening its doors to tourists and business clientele already in April 2024 is Cloud One. Despite its central location in the vicinity of the new development project designed by Zaha Hadid architects, the hotel will offer parking spots as well as sustainable approach to catering and energy consumption. With 382 comfortable guest rooms with stylish designer furniture and box-spring beds, the Cloud One is ready to accommodate even larger groups. For those who love great views, the hotel’s rooftop terrace is the right place to be after the demanding day in Prague.

A few months later, the long-awaited W Prague will welcome its first guests. After the thorough renovation of the former Grand Hotel Evropa on Wenceslas Square, the property extends its capacity to 161 guest rooms and suites and four meeting rooms. The property delicately combines contemporary design with the original art nouveau style from 1905, when the Grand Hotel Evropa was opened.

Last, but not least, the end of the year will mark the opening of the most exclusive five-star Fairmont Golden Prague Hotel, formerly known as the Intercontinental Prague. The hotel will feature 297 luxurious rooms and suites, an extensive Fairmont Spa with indoor and outdoor pool, 3 restaurants and 3 bars as well as a Grand ballroom for 400 guests – one of a total of 6 meeting rooms in total.

Those in favour of Wyndham hotel chain can benefit from its recent entry to the Prague market through the acquisition of the Vienna House brand – Vienna House by Wyndham Diplomat Prague and Andel’s Prague. Generous Wyndham Rewards® provides the opportunity to take advantage of the program, through which guests can earn points for every stay at any partner hotel around the world, and also join a special part of the program called go meet® that is designed for all the event planners. Note for all the green-savvy event planners and hotel guests: The hotels have received Wyndham Green® Certificate for their sustainability activities.

Sustainability has been adopted also at the newly reconstructed shared areas at the Holiday Inn Prague hotel adjacent to the Prague Congress Centre. The hotel recently launched a brand-new open lobby area, two additional meeting rooms, a pop-up area suitable for coffee breaks, Esprit restaurant and Délicatesse bistro. Together with the renovated areas, the new gastronomic concept has been launched emphasizing the ingredients from local farmers, grown and bred with respect and environmentally friendly.

Prague hotel market has got a new zest not only with the new properties opened, but also by unusual projects turning the accommodation facilities into living cultural spots. Whenever you visit the recently opened Almanac X Alcron Prague hotel, the property will surprise you with a different art project. One example for all: recently hotel guests and visitors could experience for free a celebration of Czechoslovak artistic creation and the works of Czech and Slovak designers and jewellers at “Má Vlast” (My Homeland) event. The name of the event also refers to the most famous composition by the world-famous Czech composer of classical music, BedÅ™ich Smetana, called My Homeland. The event is held annually, and this year’s theme was “Cabinet of Curiosities”.
