Paola Piza, Regional Business Development Manager LATAM, at Kenes Group, was recently recognised as one of the top 15 event professionals in Latin America at the World Meetings Forum 2017. This is the fifth year of the top 15 list and is awarded by LM Latinamerica Meetings magazine. This year was the first time the awards were handed out at the World Meetings Forum.

The meetings industry is growing stronger in Latin America with a rise in congresses taking place there, as well as more regional associations becoming significant international players in their fields. The growth in Latin America’s market is due to the extraordinary drive of its leaders. They are a key factor in the region as they continue to raise its quality standards and to inspire change.

Тhe World Meetings Forum was held from July 11th-13th in Mexico, gathering more than 580 participants from 18 nationalities interested in networking, discussing short- and mid-term trends, and participating in lectures given by industry specialists. Without a doubt, LM Latinamerica Meetings will continue to recognise the leaders of the meetings industry in Latin America to pay tribute to those driving the region and the industry forward. “We are thrilled to have Paola receive this important recognition. It is imperative to have leaders acknowledged for their hard work and contribution to the development of the industry. All these top 15 event professionals are showing the world the importance of Latin America in the global meetings industry and we are simply excited to see what they have in store for us” commented Carlos de Sebastian, Managing Director Spain and Latin America.

We would like to congratulate Paola, and all the other honoured event professionals, on the well-deserved recognition and for leading the events industry in Latin America.
