Located on the quayside of Nice’s harbour and overlooking the Mediterranean, the newly opened Nice Congress Centre (OcéaNice) is a significant addition to the city’s events infrastructure. With 10,000 m² of flexible space, the venue has been designed to host international congresses, cultural gatherings and large-scale events.
The opening of OcéaNice reflects the transformation of the port area into an international hub for exchange and collaboration. The facility marks a turning point for Nice’s tourism and local economy, and will reinforce Nice Côte d’Azur’s position as an international hub for professional meetings. Designed with environmental standards and event objectives in mind, the centre aims to provide delegates with a sustainable and functional environment for future meetings, as well as an unforgettable, immersive experience. Having hosted the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) in June 2025, OcéaNice is now ready to accommodate a full spectrum of events, from congresses and conferences to trade shows, seminars and product launches.
Strategic Location
OcéaNice benefits from a central location in the Port of Nice. The site is:
-
25 minutes by tram from Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport
-
10 minutes on foot from the old town, the Promenade des Anglais, Place Garibaldi and Place Massena
-
Within immediate reach of hotels, restaurants and cultural venues, with 4,000 hotel rooms located less than a 20-minute walk away
Adaptable Event Spaces
The congress centre’s 10,000 m² can be configured for different formats and capacities:
-
NICEA Hall: 4,000 m² modular hall accommodating up to 2,500 people
-
LYMPIA Rooms: 1,200 m² of divisible space, with up to four break-out rooms
-
LYMPIA 360 Rooftop Terrace: 1,400 m² panoramic space with views over the city, port and sea, suitable for receptions and gala evenings
-
LYMPIA Esplanade: 600 m² ground-level open space
-
INFERNET Quay: 2,300 m² of outdoor area for supplementary installations
Sustainability Commitments
OcéaNice is progressing towards ISO 20121 certification for sustainable event management. Its construction incorporated 94 per cent reusable, recyclable or repurposed materials. Some structures were adapted from facilities built for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and stored in Nantes, while technical components were sourced from France and Italy. The site is also scheduled for use during the 2030 Olympic Games. On-site service providers are selected for their environmental credentials, balancing performance with responsible resource management.

What is Next
Over summer 2025 the venue opened to the public with the immersive exhibition L’Océan de Léa, part of the Year of the Sea programme, launching an annual series of summer exhibitions. From 19 to 22 March 2026, OcéaNice will host Nice Boating Tomorrow, an international showcase for the nautical industry with on-land and on-water demonstrations made possible by its portside location.
