Accor announced it has been named as the operator for the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC), the largest exhibition and convention facility in South Asia. Developed jointly by Dangayach Group and Derewala Group, JECC is an integrated facility spread over 42 acres.

Located in the industrial hub of Sitapura and merely 5km from the Jaipur International Airport, the JECC
along with a 241-room Novotel offers the largest integrated exhibition-convention-entertainment facility in South Asia. Facilities in JECC include two exhibition halls with a combined column-free space of 20,000 sq meters and an open exhibition area of 10,000 sq meters with an on-site car park for over 4,000 cars.

Additionally, JECC has a convention centre of international standards with a plenary seating for 1,200 delegates supported by 20 meeting rooms spread over 5,000 sq m of area accompanied with pre-function areas, registration counters, interpretation booths and a lawn for outdoor events.

“We are confident that this world–class convention facility will drive visitor growth to Jaipur, create jobs,
support local businesses and deliver broader economic benefits to the northern region of India. The JECC will ensure superior, seamlessly coordinated services, including accommodation, meeting facilities,
banqueting, catering and entertainment, with the capability to handle exceptionally, large-scale events,”
said Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, Derewala Group.

Accor Asia Pacific has pioneered a number of bold developments in the region, including Sydney's Darling Harbour and Olympic Park precincts. Accor manages over 500,000 sq meters of convention and exhibition space spanning countries in the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe.

Rapid industrialization, fast-paced growth of the services sector and improvement in infrastructure have vastly added to the attractiveness of Jaipur as a centre for MICE activities. Additionally, the city's proximity to leading markets like Delhi and Mumbai gives it a matchless advantage. JECC is operational and hosted India Stone Mart 2015, the 8th International Stone Industry Exhibition towards the end of January 2015 while the Novotel hotel will begin operations in 2016.
