Cutting edge event venue, CENTREPIECE, opens in Melbourne Park, featuring over 4,500 sqm of completely customisable space across three levels with views of Melbourne city skyline.

The spiritual home of Australia's sporting and entertainment capital has a brand-new events and conference venue, CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park.

Building on the experience offered for major events like the Australian Open, the innovative venue has the capabilities to host everything from large-scale conferences and major awards nights, weddings and gala celebrations including five-star dining experiences.

“The appeal of CENTREPIECE lies in its versatility and state-of-the-art design. Inspired by Melbourne’s melting pot of arts, cultures and cuisines, CENTREPIECE is completely customisable.”

“Capable of hosting unique events no matter how grand or intimate, Melbourne’s newest venue of choice will lie at the heart of the local and national events calendar,” said Lara Burnes, General Manager, Premier Events & Experiences at Melbourne & Olympic Parks.

Spanning over 4,500 sqm across three levels and encompassed by open green spaces, nestled among leading sporting and concert destinations in the iconic Rod Laver Arena and MCG, CENTREPIECE boasts unrivalled views of the Melbourne city skyline.

“The team at CENTREPIECE have experience and knowledge from various sectors within the industry, and are well versed in events that get people talking and creating impactful experiences worth sharing.”

"While the past 18-months have been challenging for the industry internationally, we've taken it as an opportunity to create a world-leading events venue that will take us into the future."

The sophisticated venue features a 2,000 sqm pillarless Grand Hall entirely configurable through its operable walls, with floor-to-ceiling windows projecting natural light across the 8.5m ceilings. The Grand Hall Opens out to an 800 sqm pre-function space and expansive outdoor terrace, with the venue also operating 15 breakout spaces including a 250-seat auditorium and purpose-built broadcast studios.

A sustainable, Victorian-first approach lies at the heart of the CENTREPIECE concept with the venue’s architectural design a homage to the native Australian landscape. The food menu, curated by culinary leader and Executive Chef of Delaware North Asif Mamun, will highlight locally sourced seasonal produce, driven by a paddock to plate philosophy.

The team will also collaborate with Victorian wineries, breweries, and distilleries to both elevate the catering experience and highlight the incredible produce on offer across the state.

Distinct in scale and technological advancement with unique city views, locally-sourced seasonal produce and unparalleled guest experiences, CENTREPIECE is set to become a cornerstone of the Australian events industry.
