This year, MEET TAIWAN, the flagship project promoting MICE activities in Taiwan which is led by TAITRA and Ministry of Economic Affairs, introduced “Taiwan Value Go” and “Taiwan Meeting and Incentive Rewards Program” to overseas MICE visitors. By providing maximal NT$100,000 subsidy for each MICE tour, and consultation service on corporate meetings and incentive travels, the MICE visitors to Taiwan will be able to experience cultural diversity with full support from the Taiwanese government. These two programs aim to promote Taiwan as Asia’s premium destination for MICE, and to encourage multinational firms to choose Taiwan for their corporate meetings and incentive travels.
“Taiwan Value Go” program features the diverse and lively cultural experiences that overseas MICE visitors will enjoy from itineraries centering 9 international exhibitions around Taiwan. Local partners and the event organizers in Taiwan can apply for sponsorship ranging from NT$10,000 to NT$100,000 depending on the size of MICE visitor groups.
”Taiwan Meeting and Incentive Rewards Program” provides timely and comprehensive assistance for overseas event organizers or Taiwanese travel agents on arranging groups coming to Taiwan for corporate meetings and incentive travels. Groups of more than 20 people from foreign companies staying in Taiwan for 2 consecutive nights for a meeting, training, company visit, client award ceremony, or team building activity can be considered as the beneficiaries.
”Taiwan Meeting and Incentive Rewards Program” consists of 2 parts- inspection package and group package. Applicants enjoy consultation from site inspection and partial subsidies for accommodation, flights, and dining from the inspection package. Group package offers hospitality services for the guests, for example, welcome kits for group members, VIP souvenirs, special offers from local attractions, welcome banner, greeting letter from MEET TAIWAN, announcement press release, as well as MEET TAIWAN cards granting group members access to discounts and special offers on spending in Taiwan.
Taiwan’s MICE industry has thrived under the promotion of MEET TAIWAN and gained much international attention in recent years. With resources poured from “Taiwan Value Go” and the “Taiwan Meeting and Incentive Rewards Program,” the progress of MICE industry will undoubtedly continue to soar.
