From professional conferences to Australia’s biggest gaming expo, MCEC is poised to deliver an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

Games Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) kicks off Melbourne International Games Week at MCEC, providing game developers a platform for professional development and networking. The event attracts industry leaders from across the globe to collaborate and shape the future of gaming.

Later this week, MCEC will transform into a gamer's paradise for Penny Arcade Expo (PAX), Australia’s biggest gaming festival. The three-day festival will take over 17 exhibition bays, the entire Plenary, and multiple breakout rooms across the venue. With a packed schedule of captivating exhibitions, panels, interactive gaming sessions, cosplay championships and tournaments, PAX offers a unique opportunity for fans to immerse themselves in the gaming world and interact with their favourite game developers, publishers and brands.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of PAX and MCEC has been proud to host the event for the past eight years. Last year's event broke attendance records, attracting over 23,000 fans each day.

Natalie O’Brien AM, Chief Executive of MCEC said that Melbourne International Games Week has become a highlight in MCEC’s calendar of events and expressed her excitement for the upcoming events.

"We are thrilled to host major events during Melbourne International Games Week, bringing together industry leaders and gaming enthusiasts from around the world to celebrate gaming culture. We look forward to welcoming many visitors across the week and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of PAX.”

“MCEC is a premier hub for engaging in culture, sharing ideas and knowledge, and we’re dedicated to providing the perfect stage for innovation and unforgettable experiences."

Now worth $3.14 billion to the Australian economy, the gaming industry’s growing popularity and global reach highlights the importance of fostering collaboration and creativity through events like Melbourne International Games Week.
