Khiri Travel has been named Best Destination Management Company (DMC) at the TTG Travel Awards 2026, held in Bangkok on 24 September, adding another industry distinction to the Asian DMC’s recent run of awards.

The award was accepted by Willem Niemeijer, CEO and founder of Khiri Travel, on behalf of the company’s staff and management. Founded in 1993, the DMC now operates 20 offices across eight Asian countries, having most recently expanded its presence in the Philippines with the opening of a second office there in July.

The TTG Travel Awards are voted for by readers of TTG Asia and its related titles. Established in 1989, the awards recognise companies and organisations across the region’s travel and hospitality sectors.

After receiving the award, Niemeijer said: “Thank you to our travel industry voters. They recognised Khiri’s commitment to both responsible tourism and creating new travel experiences that appeal to discerning longhaul visitors from Europe and North America.”

The recognition comes after a series of awards for Khiri Travel during 2025. These included Best Destination Management Company in Southeast Asia at the World Luxury Travel Awards, Destination Management Company of the Year at the Travel Daily Media Excellence Awards, the Outstanding Achievement Award for Most Sustainable Travel Company at the TTG Travel Awards, and Best Travel Agent & Specialist at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards, Asia Pacific.

Alongside its geographical expansion, the company says its approach continues to be guided by what it describes as the 4Cs: conservation, culture, community and commerce. The framework is promoted by The Long Run, a travel advocacy group focused on sustainability and responsible tourism.

“Khiri Travel is committed to constant improvement. We are motivated by the 4Cs operational guidelines of conservation, culture, community, and commerce, promoted by The Long Run travel advocacy group,” Niemeijer added.

Khiri Travel’s network currently spans Thailand, the Philippines, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Sri Lanka, with the latter also responsible for the Maldives. The company works primarily with selected tour operators, developing leisure itineraries around what it describes as authentic, local and sustainable experiences.

Its activities also extend beyond commercial travel. Khiri Travel is a co-organiser of Steps for Impact 2027, a pan-Asian grassroots charity event scheduled for 30 January 2027 and due to take place across eight Asian countries.

The latest TTG award therefore comes as Khiri continues to combine network expansion with a sustainability framework that has become a recurring element of its positioning across the Asian destination management market.
