Kenes Group has recently submitted its first Communication on Progress to the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices.

“I am pleased to confirm that Kenes Group reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment, and Anti-Corruption. In this annual Communication on Progress, we disclose our continuous efforts to integrate the Ten Principles into our business strategy, culture, and daily operations, and contribute to United Nations goals, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals”, said Kenes Group CEO Ori Lahav.

The UN Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 15,000 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and more than 70 local networks.

Kenes Group was accepted as a participant of the UN Global Compact in October 2023 as part of the efforts of Sustainability Officer Elena Fis to strengthen the company's sustainability commitments and global contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals: “It is a priority for Kenes Group to engage in global collaboration and to incorporate business practices that prioritise human rights and environmental awareness. By joining the UN Global Compact, we move forward with transparency in the implementation of our sustainability policies,” Sustainability Officer Elena Fis affirmed.

The first Communication on Progress submitted to Kenes Group public profile at the UN Global Compact platform includes the company’s Sustainability Report 2023 and a questionnaire of progress covering a wide range of topics from governance to climate action and it is one of the activities in the organisation’s Sustainability Road Map 2023 – 2025.

Additionally, all Kenes Group employees now have access to the UN Global Compact Academy, a large library of resources that offers companies actionable insights and best practices relevant to specific challenges and needs, regardless of corporate function.
