IFEMA MADRID Palacio Municipal will host the 26th edition of the EACMFS (European Association for Cranio Maxillo Facial Surgery) Congress, that will be held from 27th to 30th September 2022 in face-to-face format.

This biennial congress comes to Madrid as the Spanish Professor Julio Acero occupies the Presidency of the Association, and it expects to host more than 2.000 attendees from 70 countries.

This edition will mean the return to the face-to-face format after the last appointment of the Congress, celebrated in Munich in 2018, and the virtual edition celebrated last summer after the impossibility of holding it in person in Paris in 2020.

IFEMA MADRID continues working for the reactivation of the MICE sector in Madrid, contributing to the international positioning of the city as a main host for the celebration of congresses and events of great global relevance.

EACMFS was established in 1970 by a group of innovative European surgeons who were keen to advance the specialty. It is has become the most prominent and highly respected professional group for the specialty in Europe and has a high profile in other parts of the World. The objectives of the Association are to promote cranio-maxillo-facial surgery in theory and practice and attempt to establish uniform training requirements for the specialty in Europe and encourage these worldwide. The main aim was to endeavour to ensure that specialist training in oral and maxillo-facial surgery was based on a solid foundation of dual medical and dental qualifications and core training in surgery.
