In a unique event centred around exploring the future of association meetings and how they can impact societal change, ICCA hosted a half-day programme in which participants shared challenges, collaborated on solutions, and engaged in focused discussions on the topics that matter most to associations.
Hosted at the prestigious ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership headquarters, the ICCA programme featured widely renowned industry experts, including Michelle Mason; Elliott Ferguson; Leslie Zeck, Loren Christie; Stephanie Santini; and Marie Hunter. Representatives from prominent North American associations were also in attendance.
Business Events Industry Week, which was held this year from April 8-11 in Washington, D.C., showcased the reach and influence of the global business events industry. Attendees from across the world participated in events centred on how to best position the industry for the future.
ICCA’s session, “The Future of Association Meetings and Societal Transformation,” encouraged discussions among attendees about the role associations play in societal transformation. Participants gained valuable insights to navigate evolving trends, collaborate on the future of associations, and elevate their perspectives and knowledge at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity.
The ICCA leadership team — including ICCA President Marta Gomes and ICCA CEO Senthil Gopinath, along with ICCA Regional Director for North America Jose Barreiro and Head of Education and Legacy Programmes Ksenija Polla were in attendance.
