Following the successful opening and establishment of the CCH-Congress Center Hamburg, where she has been responsible for strategic and operational leadership as well as market repositioning since 2018, Heike Mahmoud is now returning to her chosen home, Berlin.

The Estrel Berlin, Europe's largest hotel, entertainment, and congress complex, is set to expand further with the opening of the Estrel Tower by the end of 2025. Mahmoud will be at the forefront of managing this expansion while also overseeing the existing operation.

“With Heike, we are gaining an excellent leader with extensive professional experience and in-depth industry and product knowledge,” said Ute Jacobs, Managing Director of Estrel Berlin. “We have known each other for many years and have always stayed in touch.”

Ekkehard and Maxim Streletzki were equally enthusiastic when they learned of her commitment. “Ms. Mahmoud will enrich our experienced team with her know-how, awareness of trends, and new developments while also helping to expand our contacts in the international market. With the addition of Ms. Mahmoud, we will be optimally prepared for the challenges the opening of the Estrel Tower will bring.”

Heike Mahmoud takes up her new position with immediate effect, August 2024 – the onboarding will surely go smoothly, as she will be greeted by many familiar faces. She previously worked at the Estrel as the Sales & Marketing Manager from 1998 to 2001 before moving to the Berlin Congress & Tourism GmbH (visitBerlin), where she built and developed the Berlin Convention Office (BCO) from 2001 to 2018 into one of the world's most successful convention bureaus.
