Granada selected as destination for MPI EMEC 2017

The next edition of The MPI European Meetings & Events Conference (EMEC) will be held in Spain, Granada will be the host city of next year’s conference.

The conference will take place from 5-7 March 2017 at the Granada Congress & Exhibition Centre, as announced by Mr. Pierre Fernandez, Senior Director of MPI European Operations during the closing session of EMEC 2016 in Copenhagen. This will be the second time the MPI has selected a city in Andalucia for their conference, after holding a conference in Malaga in 2010.

"We believe this is the perfect time for MPI Spain, the Granada Convention Bureau, and the international MPI community to meet in Granada. We are really looking forward to hosting EMEC in 2017," said Eva Garde, Marketing Director, Granada Convention Bureau.

There will be special a focus on the local culture, with the food specialties and social activities related to the country’s tradition.

The Granada Convention Bureau and the MPI Spain Chapter will work together with local organizations including: the Granada Congress Centre, the Granada City Hall, Province of Granada Tourist Board and Andalucia Tourist Board.
