Experience Gold Coast has launched the next round of videos designed to lure international associations and incentive travel groups to the city and continue to build the visitor economy.
In a similar format as the initial video launched last month, the video takes the viewer into the imagination of a meeting planner who pictures a destination with an extensive range of infrastructure and experiences, framed by a spectacular coastline and tropical rainforest, just like the Gold Coast.
Experience Gold Coast’s Director, Business Events Brooke Campbell said the assets are designed to appeal specifically to international association and incentive travel group organisers looking to plan their next event.
“Our city’s wide range of offsite venues and unique experiences, combined with our superb weather and location, makes the Gold Coast a sought after incentive travel destination to connect, celebrate and reward teams,” Mrs Campbell said.
“And we can support association conferences by tapping into the strength of our developed key sectors such as medicine, health, education, screen and sport for partnerships, opportunities and insights.”
“Whether you’re an incentive group looking to create memories that last a life time, or an association wanting to inspire ideas, share the latest research and do business, if it can be imagined, and can happen on the Gold Coast,” she said.
The project is supported by Tourism Australia’s Business Events Advance Program designed to increase the number and value of international business events for Australia.
“Tourism Australia is delighted to have supported this initiative which will help international business events decision makers to visualise what their event could look like on the Gold Coast,” said Tourism Australia’s Executive General Manager of Commercial and Business Events Australia, Robin Mack.
“Our Business Events Advance Program is all about attracting more business events to Australia and we hope Experience Gold Coast’s new video series, which showcases the region as an ideal business events destination, will help to do just that,” she said.
The video series titled, ‘If it can be imaged, it can happen on the Gold Coast’ for associations will be rolled out in time for IMEX Frankfurt, where the Gold Coast will be exhibiting alongside 20 Australian partners as part of Business Event Australia’s stand.
Supported by the Union of International Associations (UIA), the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) and the Interel Group, the global public affairs and association management consultancy, Headquarters Magazines serve the needs of international associations organising worldwide congresses.
