FIEXPO Latin America will take place in Costa Rica on 8–11 June 2026, marking the event’s second edition in the country. The event continues to position itself as a platform for sustainable development, innovation, and professionalisation within the meetings industry across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Looking ahead to 2026, global trends point to an ongoing shift in how meetings and events are designed and delivered. Sustainability has become a baseline requirement, with increased attention on reducing environmental impact, responsible procurement, and the use of renewable energy. Alongside this, delegate wellbeing is taking a more central role, influencing event formats, programming, and venue choices.
Technology is also reshaping the participant experience. Immersive tools such as augmented and virtual reality are increasingly being integrated into event design, while artificial intelligence is supporting more personalised and efficient planning and engagement processes.
Future-facing meetings are also expected to generate measurable benefits for host destinations. Legacy planning, skills development, inclusion, and the protection of cultural and natural heritage are becoming core considerations for organisers and partners alike.
Within this context, FIEXPO Latin America continues its collaboration with leading global and regional associations in the meetings industry, including the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE), the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), and the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO). These partnerships support knowledge exchange, international standards, and long-term sector development.
Costa Rica, internationally recognised for its sustainability policies and experience in hosting international meetings, will provide the setting for the 2026 edition, as FIEXPO Latin America examines current challenges and future directions for the meetings industry.
