FIEXPO Latin America Brings Together World-Class Leaders in Panama

In the forthcoming edition of FIEXPO Latin America, participants will have access to a top-level academic exchange with indisputable leaders in the meetings industry.

A comprehensive programme under the academic coordination of FIEXPO, with high-impact themes jointly selected with MPI, ICCA, UFI, SITE, PCMA and Destinations International, using FIEXPO Connecting Minds as thematic axes, the Impact of strategies in the sustainability era, the incorporation of disruptive technologies in our industry, the implementation of business development strategies amid major geopolitical changes, and the transformation of the OPCs given the new international trends.

The SITE Ibero America Meet, promoted by SITE South America together with all the Spanish and Portuguese speaking chapters will hold its first edition during FIEXPO, and its aim is to work together with members to generate a solid basis for the exchange of business between professionals from across Ibero-America.

ICCA members will also be able to train and participate in an educational programme specially designed to enhance their business acquisition.

FIEXPO & ICCA Next Generation Summit is getting ready to receive and train young professionals in our industry, where the key issues for the recruitment and retention of new talent will be addressed together with Senthil Gopinath, CEO of ICCA and ICCA’s Board for Latin America and the Caribbean.

On the other hand, the Convention Bureau One Day Challenge will offer participants a high-level theoretical framework with international speakers. From the GDS, Guy Bigwood, Chief Changemaker will hold a workshop targeting destinations, addressing the issue of sustainability and how to walk through a regenerative destination. Destinations International will address the importance of a 360 planning for destinations based on KPIs and solid international certification processes, Martin Boyle, CEO of IAPCO will present the new trends and technical aspects to consider as we organise events. Noor Ahmad, COO of Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau and Ana Bueno, Association Meetings Manager of Barcelona CVB, will give an account of their success stories and the actions implemented to develop and promote their destinations.

The Latin American and International Professional Associations Forum aims to achieve the highest level of management of professional associations and congress organisation through an open exchange of information among its members. This year we will be joined by speakers like Amy Hissrich, Vice President, Global & Web Strategy of ASAE (The Center for Association Leadership), Genevieve Leclerc, Co-Founder & CEO of #Meet4Impact, Alejandro Ramírez Tabche IAPCO Council, Juliano Lissoni Managing Director at MCI Canada.

The 9th Latin American Politicians Forum on Meeting Tourism is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated events. The central topics of discussion of this edition will be Branding, the importance of branding a destination by Drew Holmgreen, Vice President of Brand Engagement. MPI. Investment and Promotion as a key to success for attracting and capturing events, meetings and trade shows, presented by Marta Gomes, Sales Division Deputy Executive Director at VIPARIS and 1st Vice-President ICCA, Destinations as engines of economic growth presented by Noor Ahmad, COO Malaysia CVB.

The 9th edition of the Forum will feature the highest tourism authorities in Latin America and the Caribbean, from regional directors of tourism to Ministers of this portfolio.
