UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, has announced Expo Guadalajara as its newest Diamond Sponsor — and the first organisation from Latin America to join this top-tier partnership.
Based in Mexico, Expo Guadalajara is the country’s largest venue and the biggest across Central and South America. Through the multi-year Diamond Sponsorship agreement, the venue will benefit from continuous international visibility and promotion across UFI’s global events and activities, while reinforcing its long-term commitment to the advancement of the exhibition industry.
For UFI, the partnership strengthens its capacity to support members and stakeholders worldwide, particularly across the Americas.
Elena Hurtado, Managing Director of Expo Guadalajara, comments: “UFI’s mission to support and advance the exhibition industry aligns closely with Expo Guadalajara’s long-term vision.
Becoming a Diamond Sponsor is a strategic step in our internationalisation efforts, focused on strengthening global partnerships with industry leaders as part of our 2050 strategy.
It also reflects our leadership in driving a more human, conscious, and sustainable MICE industry, as the first venue in Mexico to implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy and establish a social foundation.”
Panittha Buri, UFI President, adds: "Our Diamond Sponsors play a vital role in advancing UFI’s mission, and we are delighted to welcome Expo Guadalajara among them.
This Diamond Sponsorship further strengthens our long-standing collaboration, including them being our host venue for the 94th UFI Global Congress, which will take place in 2027.
We look forward to working closely together, alongside our members across Central & South America and North America, and our Regional Directors Ana Maria Arango and Martha Donato, on a range of initiatives to support the continued growth and development of this important region.”
The UFI Diamond Sponsor status represents the highest level of partnership within the association. It offers leading industry organisations the opportunity to actively support UFI’s global mission while benefiting from high-level networking and engagement opportunities across the international exhibition community.
