The Kingdom of Bahrain is gearing up to host the Asian Youth Games (AYG) from 22 to 30 October 2025.
Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), one of the largest convention and exhibition centres in the Middle East, has been selected as the venue of choice for this prestigious event alongside other premier locations across the Kingdom.
EWB will host the opening ceremony indoors – a first in the Games’ history – alongside 13 of the scheduled sports competitions, welcoming more than 5,000 athletes from 45 countries across Asia. The competitions include Boxing, Teqball, Tennis Table, MMA, Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo, Judo, Weightlifting, Wrestling, E-sports, Muay, Kurash, and Pencak Silat.
Spread across six exhibition halls (Halls 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, and 10), the Grand Hall, and the pre-function area, the events will take place over a combined space exceeding 62,000 square metres. Each competition will have a dedicated setting, with Hall 9 hosting Boxing, Hall 10 featuring Teqball and Tennis Table, Hall 1 for MMA and Jiu-Jitsu, Hall 2 for Taekwondo and Judo, Hall 3 for Weightlifting, Hall 7 for Wrestling, while the Grand Hall will showcase E-sports and Muay competitions.
In addition, EWB will provide a dedicated media centre in its meeting rooms area, ensuring comprehensive global coverage of the games.
Inaugurated in November 2022 and owned by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), EWB is the World’s Leading New Exhibition and Convention for 2023, the Middle East's Leading Large-Scale Wedding Venue 2024 and the newest MICE venue in the Middle East.
The venue offers a wide range and variety of leasable spaces for all types of events of all sizes, from large conventions and exhibitions to conferences and meetings, live entertainment performances, large weddings, galas, celebrations, corporate functions and more.
In addition to 10 large Exhibition Halls, EWB’s Convention Centre features a Grand Hall and an adjacent Meeting Hub of 19 meeting rooms of varying sizes. Its extensive capacity enables it to host several events and exhibitions simultaneously.
