In a strategic move to streamline operations, the Estonian Convention Bureau has appointed Külli Teimann as a new Association Expert.

Külli’s main focus will be on international associations and academic conferences. This new post was created to strengthen Estonia’s position as an ideal destination for international conferences and to be even more of a strategic partner in supporting international associations in planning their events in Estonia. In addition, Külli will also manage the activities of the Estonian Conference Ambassador Programme.

Külli has extensive experience in the world of international conferences and in the work of a conference bureau – she was also a project manager at Estonian Convention Bureau in 2008-2015. She has also worked as an advisor to the Estonian Presidency of the European Union, as a congress manager for the International European College of Sport Science Association in Germany, and as a sales manager for conferences and events at Tallink Hotels.

Külli herself had this to say: “I see that Estonia has a lot to offer – we are innovative and one of the world’s leading digital countries, but at the same time care a lot for sustainability, we have clean air and food, very high-quality hotels, good value for money and unique venues. For many delegates, we are a new and interesting destination, although still in Europe and very easy to travel to.”

Kadru Karu, the Managing Director of the ECB comments: “We believe that with her diverse experience, including both on the trade association and governmental meeting side, Külli will be a fantastic addition to the executive team ranks of the ECB.”
