AIM Italy, part of AIM Group International, has received the EcoVadis 'Committed' badge for the second consecutive year. This recognition highlights the group's commitment to integrating sustainability into all its activities.

Since launching the EcoVadis assessment process two years ago, AIM Italy has achieved significant growth. In 2024, it achieved a higher overall score than the previous year (59/100), once again earning it the second-level 'Committed' badge under the rating system. Progress was made in all four reference pillars: environment, labour practices and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. This score indicates a level of performance that is positive compared to industry benchmarks.

EcoVadis is one of the world's leading platforms for assessing ESG performance. It does more than just assign a score; its method certifies that policies and daily actions have a concrete impact, guiding organisations towards increasingly transparent and responsible management.

“Sustainability is no longer just an innovative project; today, it is an integral part of how we work and lead our teams,” says Patrizia Semprebene Buongiorno (right side), Vice President of AIM Group. ‘We have extended our commitment to internal processes and events, with clear protocols and continuous training, because we believe that change comes from daily actions shared with all stakeholders.’

AIM Group's sustainability initiatives

In recent years, AIM Group has introduced several concrete actions in favour of environmental, social and ethical sustainability. The main ones are:

  • Waste reduction and a plastic-free philosophy: the Group has adopted a structured approach based on the 4 Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover). Single-use materials have been progressively eliminated and plastic-free solutions involving reusable cups and water bottles have been promoted. Water dispensers have been installed in offices, and advanced separate waste collection systems have been set up in collaboration with offices and suppliers. These principles are also applied when organising events, in line with the international ISO 20121 standard for sustainable event management.

  • A responsible supply chain: AIM Group has introduced a Sustainability Protocol for the supply chain, which requires partners to adhere to the Group's principles on ethics, human rights and the environment. 87.5% of annual expenditure is now allocated to local suppliers, positively impacting local economies and reducing transport-related emissions.

  • Worker health and well-being: The Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) project, promoted by ATS Milano and the Lombardy Region and based on the World Health Organization's (WHO) “Healthy Workplace” model, promotes healthier and more collaborative work environments. This fosters the physical and psychological well-being of staff and encourages the adoption of healthy lifestyles.

  • Training and internal culture: In addition to operational measures, the Group has reinforced its ongoing staff training programmes to raise awareness of environmental and ethical issues and develop a corporate culture that is increasingly focused on sustainability.

“The EcoVadis recognition motivates us to do even more. We will continue to invest in initiatives that combine ethics, environmental protection and people's well-being in order to generate lasting value for clients, communities and partners,” concludes Patrizia Buongiorno.
