Developing Malaysian Business Event Professionals

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre(the Centre) is proud to be the ‘venue of choice’ to host the three-day IAPCO EDGE Seminar virtually from 25 to 27 August 2021. Co-organised by the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau(MyCEB) and the Centre, with support from the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO), the seminar is designed for meetings and events professionals to advance to international standards through knowledge transfer and skills development. The programme is a mix of lectures and practical workshops.

The IAPCO EDGE Seminar is the perfect platform for Malaysian business events professionals to further enhance their skill set and elevate the overall knowledge and expertise of Malaysia’s supply chain to match the industry’s international requirements and demands. Featuringinternational business events industry leaders, with real-life experiences and case studies to share, the seminar will help local meeting and event professionals become more competitive when bidding for international events.

The IAPCO EDGE Seminar is slated to provide immensely valuable industry insights for business event players, including Professional Conference Organisers, Meeting Planners, Associations, Venues and others. A wide range of topics will be discussed, such as current trends and state of the industry, conference marketing in a changing world, successful project management, finance and budgeting and many more.

The IAPCO EDGE Seminar is the latest initiative in the tri-partite collaboration between MyCEB, the Centre and IAPCO. This follows the IAPCO Continued Professional Development programme, as part of Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) in August 2020 and the launch of the unique online education platform, IAPCO WebEDGE in May 2020.
