Darwin Convention Centre Wins Gold for Best Business Events Venue in Australia

The Darwin Convention Centre, proudly managed by ASM Global, has announced that it has won GOLD at the 2023 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards on Friday, 15 March for Best Business Events Venue in Australia.

The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards are the tourism industry’s national standard of excellence, recognising the best of the best in the industry across all sectors. The Darwin Convention Centre has a strong track record of representing the Northern Territory at the national awards in the Business Event Venues category, placing Gold and Silver in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Winning GOLD this year was a particularly special occasion for the convention centre team, with the venue playing host to the prestigious event on the night.

Chairman and CEO of ASM Global (Asia Pacific) Harvey Lister AM, described the ASM Global managed Darwin Convention Centre named Best Business Events Venue in Australia, at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, as a spectacular and well-deserved achievement.

Situated in the lush tropical surrounds of the Darwin Waterfront Precinct, the Centre overlooks the picturesque Darwin Harbour, and offers state-of-the-art facilities and stunning waterfront views. With its flexible event spaces, cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service, the Darwin Convention Centre has built a strong reputation as a ‘must-do’ destination for conferences, exhibitions and corporate functions.

The Darwin Convention Centre hosts hundreds of successful business and community events every year for both Australian and international clients including: major conferences, high profile business summits, interactive public and trade exhibitions, awards ceremonies and gala dinners, themed outdoor cocktail functions, concerts by touring performing artists and fashion shows.
