Held annually at the beginning of the year, Conventa has become a key meeting point for showcasing emerging trends, facilitating strategic networking and generating tangible business opportunities. Beyond its flagship event, Conventa extends its impact throughout the year by offering selected destinations the opportunity to host carefully curated groups of hosted buyers through its exclusive Try Before You Buy Experience format, designed to allow planners to truly experience a destination before making decisions.

The first Try Before You Buy Experience of 2026 will take place in Belgrade, a city rapidly emerging as one of the region’s most exciting MICE destinations. The event will be held from 11 to 14 March 2026 at Ložionica, a brand-new venue located at the heart of Belgrade’s ongoing urban transformation.

Over four days, participants will be immersed in a programme that combines destination discovery, business meetings and high-value networking. The experience will include a dedicated day focused on exploring the city and its surroundings, alongside a day of pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings with leading local suppliers.

A strong social programme will complement the business agenda, creating opportunities for meaningful connections in an inspiring and relaxed boutique-event atmosphere. Hosted buyers will benefit from VIP status, with full travel arrangements included, within an experience that seamlessly blends business, education and celebration.

Belgrade stands out for its singular identity, where East meets West and heritage intersects with innovation. The city is undergoing a significant transformation, driven in part by the upcoming EXPO 2027, which is set to be a global game-changer for the destination. Rich cultural experiences, vibrant river life and a dynamic culinary scene are matched by high-quality venues, conference facilities and hotels, all underpinned by a reputation for genuine hospitality.

The hosted buyer programme is open to meeting planners representing event agencies, associations or corporate buyers who are responsible for planning, organising, recommending or making financial decisions for events held outside their home country. Participation is limited to 25 hosted buyers, ensuring a highly focused and personalised environment. Applications are open until 5 February 2026, and registration is free of charge.
