Córdoba will host the FIEXPO Workshop & Technical Visit from 10–13 August 2026, as part of a wider programme of activities led by FIEXPO Exhibitions Group aimed at strengthening the meetings industry across Latin America.

The initiative forms part of FIEXPO’s regional strategy to support the development of MICE destinations by connecting qualified international buyers with local professionals, venues, and service providers. The programme is designed to facilitate structured networking and create concrete business opportunities for host destinations.

Over four days, participants will follow an agenda combining training sessions, one-to-one business meetings, and technical site visits. The format is intended to offer direct engagement with local suppliers while providing a comprehensive overview of Córdoba’s meetings and events ecosystem.

Within this framework, International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), FIEXPO’s global industry partner, will contribute specialised content aimed at local suppliers and professionals. The sessions will focus on professional standards, market readiness, and strengthening the destination’s competitiveness at international level.

According to FIEXPO Exhibitions Group, the Workshop & Technical Visit is designed not only to showcase destination assets, but also to leave lasting value. “We work to ensure that each FIEXPO action strengthens local capabilities and generates real business opportunities for destinations. Córdoba joins this agenda as a key player in the regional evolution of the meetings industry,” the organisation said.

Córdoba’s MICE Positioning

Córdoba continues to consolidate its position as a strategic meetings destination, supported by a combination of infrastructure, organisational capacity, geographic location, and air and land connectivity. The province’s MICE offering is reinforced by a diverse ecosystem that brings together academic knowledge, innovation, culture, gastronomy, sport, and natural assets.

The provincial capital, a historic city with a long tradition as a regional meeting point, has translated this identity into a professional and competitive MICE proposition. Today, it is positioned to host international-scale events while generating economic, social, and productive impact across the wider province.

Darío Capitani, President of Agencia Córdoba Turismo, highlighted the relevance of hosting the FIEXPO Workshop & Technical Visit for the province. “Córdoba being selected as host reflects the path we have been following. Meetings tourism is a concrete tool for economic development, job creation, and international positioning. Events like this generate immediate impact, but they also open future opportunities to attract congresses, exhibitions, and major events, strengthening the Córdoba brand and collaboration between the public, private, and academic sectors,” he said.
