Bringing the ‘Kilkenny Energy’ to Ireland's Largest Travel Trade Convention

Tourism, hospitality and attraction providers came from all corners of the globe for an industry networking conference in Killarney.

A 16 strong delegation from County Kilkenny were in attendance to promote the wonderful experiences that the Marble City and County has to offer and display their famous ‘Kilkenny Energy’.

With hoteliers, tour and attraction providers and food producers, Kilkenny was well-represented. Kilkenny is the ideal location for both leisure and business travel, with a dedicated team available to help plan top-tier business conferences and events.

Kilkenny was represented by 8 hoteliers and 8 attraction providers with Club House Hotel, the Griffin Group, Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel, Kilkenny River Court Hotel, Lyrath Estate, Mount Juliet Estate, Newpark Hotel, Highbank Orchards, Kilkenny City Tours, Kilkenny Design Centre, Kilkenny Whiskey Guild, Shenanigans Walks, Sullivan’s Taproom, Butler Gallery and the Smithwick’s Experience proudly flying the black and amber flag for the Medieval county and the unique experiences that it has to offer.

‘Kilkenny Energy’ is the name that is given to the atmosphere that you can expect in the Marble County, where the lines blur between Medieval city and modern haven. Explore the cobblestone streets and discover some top-class eateries and live entertainment. 

Kilkenny held two tourism networking events on the 26th and 27th of March 2025, to bring together a range of tourism providers from hotels to attractions and food producers to foster mutually beneficial partnerships between businesses in the county.

Kilkenny Tourism Connects was a joint effort between Visit Kilkenny and Runda Hospitality and Tourism Solutions. Industry experts from Fáilte Ireland and O’Connell Marketing were on hand to give important insights into the current Irish tourism landscape.
