Arabian Adventures, the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) leading destination management company (DMC), part of the Emirates Group, has appointed Austria Dauber as Account Director to expand its meeting, incentives, and events team in North America.
Headquartered in Dubai, with offices across the globe, Austria will be dedicated to supporting the company’s events division – Arabian Adventures Meetings, Incentives and Events (AAMIE) – from North America, as it continues to deliver world class experiences across the UAE for an international client base.
Arabian Adventures is expanding its team globally, including an increased focus on the US and Canada, as travel from this part of the world to the UAE continues to grow. The company’s vast remit also includes award-winning city tours and desert safari experiences in Dubai, alongside cruise handling, and more, across the emirates of the UAE, growing in popularity with global travellers.
Austria Dauber, Account Director – US and Canada at Arabian Adventures, commented: “Working with the team of destination and events specialists at Arabian Adventures will allow me and our growing team to continue to educate the North America market on a dynamic and evolving part of the world, where the facilities are world-class and experiences, unforgettable.”
Originally from and currently based in New York, Austria brings five years of sales and marketing experience in the meetings and events industry to her new role, which has included international markets, such as Dubai. Austria will be tasked with presenting the UAE as a world-class incentive and event destination, supporting Michelle Rust, Director of Sales for Arabian Adventures in North America, who represents the wider Arabian Adventures portfolio.
Austria, who speaks multiple languages, including English, French, Spanish, Italian and Mandarin, will utilize her international events experience to support clients in the events and incentives arm of Destination Asia, one of Asia’s leading DMCs and part of the Emirates Group under the dnata Travel Group division, alongside Arabian Adventures.
Justine Thomas, Director of Meetings, Incentives and Events for Arabian Adventures, added: “It’s an exciting time to work in the M.I.C.E sector, particularly between the destinations of the UAE and the Americas.
“We are looking forward to working with Austria to showcase the remarkable opportunities we offer across Dubai and the wider UAE such as the desert landscapes beyond innovative cityscapes. This enables travellers to take in a mix of landscapes, cultures, and world-leading hospitality. With new accommodation options, venues, experiences, and air routes opening, it’s only going to become smoother and ever-more tempting for global businesses to experience all that we can offer, as it continues to expand.”
