AIM Group Portugal, one of the most dynamic offices of the international network with a rich portfolio of events for both medical-scientific and corporate clients, will strengthen the operations in the Iberian area.

AIM Group International opens a new office in Porto, Portugal, which will be managed by Nélia Fonte as Business Manager. The goal of the 15th office of the Group is to expand the area of activity to the North of Portugal, due to the relevance and growth of Porto as destination for events as well as an important scientific and technological hub.

Porto hosts outstanding universities, namely the Polytechnic, and is moving forward to becoming an economic centre for the region. With a competitive and business friendly environment, the city was able to create a start-up ecosystem with excellent infrastructures and a strategic position.

Nélia Fonte is a proficient event professional with more than 20 years of experience, who joined AIM Group Portugal in 2020.

“With the new office we will be closer to local stakeholders and key decision makers and able to provide more value to them” explain Madalena Miranda, Area Manager Iberia, AIM Group International. “I am sure that an experienced professional like Nélia will provide the good expertise and approach to the market and clients and will contribute to the further growth of our business in the area”.

“AIM Group Portugal, one of the most dynamic offices of the international network, has been experiencing a sharp recover of business after the pandemic, with a rich pipeline of big events for both medical-scientific and corporate clients. With this opening, which will be followed by new team members to join the office, we are investing to strengthen the operations in the Iberian area” says Marco Quagliarella, Director of International Operations, AIM Group International.
