The Tatarstan Convention Bureau (TCB)

The Tatarstan Convention Bureau (TCB) was presented on the 14th November, 2017. It is a new direction in attraction investments to Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA).

TCB will help partners and investors to organize/conduct the main forums, conferences and business meetings in Kazan.

Bureau will become a “one-stop service” for organizers from major world events. For a potential partners CB designed a website, which provides any necessary information about venues and other possibilities for conducting the events in Tatarstan.

It is not only about under-construction complex “Kazan Expo”, but about the hotels with meeting spaces and unique venues, such as Innopolis, IT-Park, ski resort “Kazan”, where events also can be organized. At this stage concludes 32 contracts with hotels, about 14 more is on approval.

The main mission of TCB is to direct the organizers to use a special website, so they be able to answer the question: Why Tatarstan? Then they will choose Tatarstan as a venue for the events.

ICCA’s events take for 3 years or longer, number of participants no less than 50. Basically, participants on the events hundred or thousand people.

Tatarstan Convention Bureau became a member of  The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), which means that now the organization has access to the database of the Association, which annually conducts more than 12 thousand events around the world. ICCA events have been held for at least 3 years, and the number of participants – at least 50 people. As a rule, these events take hundreds and thousands of visitors.

According to Taliya Minullina, the Head of TIDA, establishing the TCB will allow Republic to attract the largest world events on its territory and will be a major step in the development of business tourism in Tatarstan.

"The emergence of Convention Bureau in the Republic means that the exhibition activities of the Republic of Tatarstan will come to a new level in performance. We can confidently say that today Tatarstan "sounds" as in the Russian Federation, so as in the international arena. We rank first place in terms of investment climate in Russia for three consecutive years. I hope that we will keep the leading positions in other industries too. Now Tatarstan appeared on the world map as one of the destinations to conduct important business events," said Taliya Minullina.
