The Hague Convention Bureau (THCB) is delighted to have been awarded Bronze at The Meetings Industry Marketing Awards (MIMA) in the category Best Use of Video Marketing. The MIMA presentation and award ceremony took place during The EVCOM Industry Awards at the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel in London last Friday.

The Hague Convention Bureau focuses on organising and facilitating international congresses and business events in The Hague.

The Hague offers an untapped potential to accommodate diverse audiences for organising both high-profile and small-scale events. We would like to put our city on the global map of desirable event destinations,” said deputy mayor of The Hague Karsten Klein.

To raise the profile of the city, THCB launched an animation to illustrate the pleasant and efficient trip that the delegates make when they travel to The Hague. To deliver the main message – “The Hague. It’s closer than you think” - THCB illustrated the experience of three delegates coming from England, Germany and the United States. The animation received a warm welcome on social media and will continue to run on the website.

MIMA started in 2002 with an eye to polish the standards of marketing in the meetings and events industry and pay tribute the marketers. “The event is an exciting opportunity to network and showcase the very best of THCB’s achievements. Most importantly we are thrilled that our work has been honoured with such a prestigious award. It gives us a stimulus and inspiration to reach new heights,” commented Nienke van der Malen - van der Horst, the director of THCB.
