The European Convention Center Luxembourg (ECCL) has reinvented itself and wants to be closer to everyone, even if at a distance. Hence, the development of technical and technological equipment allows today to host three types of events: in-person, hybrid, and virtual.

The ECCL, the one and only convention centre in Luxembourg, is a flagship destination within the MICE sector and continues to establish itself and grow, despite the circumstances, as the ideal venue for organising any type of event, in the heart of Europe.

In this pandemic context and in order to meet the current needs of event organisers, new solutions were found and created: in-person, hybrid, and virtual solutions.

In-person: Along with the updates in terms of restrictions by the Luxembourg government, the ECCL continues to welcome physical events with the utmost caution and with a security and health protocol that guarantees the correct execution of any kind of event.

Hybrid: The perfect solution for those events that can effectively be held both onsite and virtually. The large spaces of the ECCL are perfect to organise those type of meetings while respecting the rules of social distancing and/or allowing to build a TV studio from scratch. In this regard, the ECCL had the honour of hosting in November 2020 the Northern Europe Hub of the 59th ICCA World congress (International Congress and Convention Association).

Virtual. The go-to event type in the current situation. In 2021 ECCL launched its digital studio, a ready-to-use solution to ensure the highest visual quality and technological experience while including the benefits of different packages the ECCL offers.

«In these rapidly-changing circumstances, It has never been more crucial than right now to give customers the opportunity to continue to get together especially in a virtual way with the same quality with which they have been used to meeting in presence. Our digital studio represents this opportunity».

The reduction of CO2 emissions given by the current trend of virtual events and the Convention Park Luxembourg — a unique complex within walking distance including hotels, restaurants, conference areas, shopping facilities as well as two internationally renowned artistic venues, with the ECCL as its centrepiece — are also part of the green initiative to which the ECCL has signed up and which will see its consolidation in 2022 with the achievement of a green label.
