Taiwan Three Consecutive Win Asia's Best CVB at the Stella Awards

Taiwan MICE wins yet another international gold award! Organised by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs, MEET TAIWAN achieved international recognition at the Stella Awards hosted by renowned international MICE media M&C Asia on August 16, 2023.

Taiwan stood out among many countries, winning the Best Convention & Visitor Bureau (Asia) award for the third consecutive year, plus the 2023 Best Exhibition City (Asia) award. This achievement highlights Taiwan’s remarkable performance in the international MICE market, earning international recognition and attention.

Taiwan’s MICE industry has seen success after success this year. The EXPO-TECH Digital Exhibition Navigation programme, promoted by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, received an Industry Partners Award from The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) in July 2023.

Additionally, collaboration with national conference organisers secured hosting rights for the 2025 annual conference of the The International Association of Professional Congress Organizers (IAPCO). These achievements further demonstrate Taiwan’s competitiveness and influence in the international MICE industry, bringing new opportunities for development.

The Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs has been continuously enhancing both hardware facilities and software services to establish Taiwan as a premium conference and exhibition destination. Upgrades include transforming the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center into Taiwan’s first national-level 5G enabled intelligent exhibition venue.

Furthermore, the opening of the International Convention Center Tainan and the upcoming completion of the Taoyuan Convention and Exhibition Center contribute to the creation of a comprehensive north-south exhibition corridor. In terms of soft power, the initiative aligns with global trends, outlining a path towards sustainable practices within Taiwan’s MICE industry.

MEET TAIWAN themed “MEET TAIWAN Open Arms” for 2023, symbolises embracing international MICE activities with open arms.Employing strategic marketing, the programme gains extensive brand exposure in international media and social networks, and assembles MICE industry participants to secure opportunities at major international exhibitions, further elevating Taiwan’s international profile in the exhibition sector.

The Stella Awards is organized by M&C Asia, a media entity with over 20,000 readers from the global MICE industry under the renowned Northstar Meetings Group. With over 50 years of experience in the exhibition domain, the group’s annual awards are determined through reader voting. Taiwan has received this honor for multiple consecutive years, showing the international recognition of Taiwan as an ideal conference and exhibition destination.
