The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) has returned to a familiar face as it navigates a leadership transition, appointing Rebecca Wright (cover photo), CIS, CITP, as Interim CEO.

Wright succeeds Annette Gregg and will lead the global association while a separate search is conducted for a permanent CEO. Her appointment follows a process led by SITE’s Executive Committee and confirmed by the SITE International Board of Directors.

A long-standing figure within the SITE community, Wright brings more than 15 years of experience in incentive travel. She previously served as President of SITE Chicago and joined SITE’s international team as Head of Chapter Engagement in January 2020. She also held the Interim CEO role between October 2020 and November 2022, giving her direct experience of leading the association through a period of significant disruption for the global meetings industry.

That previous experience was central to the confidence placed in her return. SITE International Board President Hasan Dinç recalled working with Wright during her first tenure, when he was President of SITE Türkiye.

“Through the pandemic she kept our chapters connected to SITE, and I saw first-hand what that meant for them. She brings that same continuity now,” Dinç said.

For Wright, the immediate priority is to reconnect with SITE’s global membership while maintaining the momentum established by the association.

“It is a privilege to return to SITE and serve this community once again as Interim CEO,” Wright said. “My immediate focus will be on supporting the team, listening closely to our members and chapters, and building on the momentum already established across the association.”

She is expected to reconnect with members and industry colleagues at IMEX America and throughout the coming months as SITE continues its search for a permanent chief executive.

The appointment gives the association an experienced incentive travel leader at a moment of transition, while bringing a familiar understanding of its chapters, members and international network back into its executive leadership.
