Silesia Convention Bureau Becomes a New Polish member of ICCA

Silesia Convention Bureau has become a member of ICCA - the most important international association in the meetings industry. This is another important step in building relations and business opportunities for the MICE industry partners from this region located in the southern part of Poland.

Silesia Convention Bureau (SCB) is a product consortium that brings together entities working for the development of business tourism in the Silesian Voivodeship in the southern part of Poland. SCB operates within the structures of the Silesian Tourist Organisation and is a specialised entity responsible for promoting the entire Silesian Voivodeship as an attractive destination for hosting meetings.

"We are honored and happy to be part of the global ICCA family. Most convention bureaus are members of industry associations, and the ICCA is the world's leading meeting industry association. Such affiliation increases the prestige and credibility of the image of our organisation. Being a member of ICCA, we count on expanding business contacts, acquiring knowledge and international cooperation," says Agnieszka Sikorska, director of the Silesia Convention Bureau.

By joining ICCA, Silesia Convention Bureau has achieved the distinction of being the ninth Polish convention bureau to become a member. The other members from Poland encompass bureaus from Gdańsk, Warsaw, Poznań, Kraków, Wrocław, Łódź, Lublin, and Poland Convention Bureau. In sum, there are a total of 18 entities from Poland that hold ICCA membership.
