Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) has been selected as the venue for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit 2022 and all meetings related to APEC Framework to be held throughout the year. QSNCC is ready to welcome delegates from all the 21 economies and beyond to Thailand, and will support APEC to host the meetings in the theme of “Open. Connect. Balance.”

For over three decades, the QSNCC has been providing a comprehensive international meeting service. It is currently undergoing the redevelopment phase to offer five times larger space with a variety of retail spaces to facilitate the visitors once completed. The upgraded “Queen Sirikit National Convention Center” has a unique exterior and interior design portraying its identity concept of the essence of QSNCC legacy integrating into the present day. It is ensured to be further known and recognised at the international level as Thailand’s ultimate inspiring world class event platform for all.

Mr. Sakchai Pattarapreechakul, President of N.C.C. Management & Development Co., Ltd., said: “On behalf of the management team of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, we are delighted and honored to have been entrusted by the APEC organising team of Thai Government that opts for our full range of meetings and events solutions. The new QSNCC will be able to accommodate all types of events unlimitedly, featuring cutting-edge technology and complete facilities guaranteed with standards compatible with global top event venues in other countries. QSNCC also has a unique identity, along with the architecture and landscape architecture that is beautiful, outstanding and harmonised with the surrounding areas, exhibiting a perfect combination of Thai and international characteristics. Besides, with the knowledge, expertise, and experience in the business from our professional team, we are certain that the upgraded QSNCC will provide excellent services to the conference organisers and participants of APEC 2022.”

The new QSNCC will be the first convention centre in Thailand that can break through the limitations in the event organising activities. With flexible space design and modern construction techniques, the long span truss structure or the absence of columns helps create greater space within the building. Therefore, the hall is of large size with over 22,500 square meters to accommodate all types of events unlimitedly. It is also designed to maximise the capacity of the space, comprising two main exhibition halls with a total area of more than 45,000 square meters, making it possible to hold several meetings or events at the same time. QSNCC is the only convention, seminar, and exhibition centre in Thailand equipped with these capabilities. Moreover, it is the only convention center located in the heart of Bangkok, with the direct access to the Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT).

In terms of technology and facilities, QSNCC has prepared its infrastructure to accommodate the use of high-speed internet in Thailand, including the upcoming 6G, thus being capable to support virtual and hybrid events efficiently. Touchless access system and intelligence event platform management system are also established to control the service provision. Furthermore, a top-level security technology is adopted in compliance with the international quality standards, as well as taking life safety into consideration.

“Serving as ‘the ultimate inspiring world class event platform for all’, the upgraded QSNCC will certainly be the new event destination contributing to Thailand’s economic growth,” Mr. Sakchai Pattarapreechakul added.

The QSNCC is the first and only convention centre that received the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification. The use of environmentally friendly construction materials by adopting 25% of recycled products and 75% of recyclable products, solar cells, and energy-saving devices constitute sustainable management. With a total event space of 78,500 square meters, the Queen Sirikit National Conventional Center provides two main exhibition halls with over 45,000 square meters, two large conference halls with nearly 10,000 square meters and additional 50 flexible meeting rooms. Its accessibility to the Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT) and the 2,700 indoor parking spaces make the QSNCC the most convenient centre in CBD.

The revamped QSNCC will be opened in September 2022.
