The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre’s Deputy General Manager, John Burke, with team members and InvestKL donors providing their moral support to (seated from left to right) the Centre’s Security Officer, Kiran Sharma A/L Mohindar Pall and InvestKL Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications, Kuzaimah Idris, during the venue’s 10th consecutive annual blood donation campaign held in conjunction with the National Blood Centre (NBC).

Elaborating on the campaign, Burke, shared, “This year’s event saw 81 kind-hearted donors, both staff and members of the public working and visiting the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) precinct, as people embraced the World Blood Donor Day 2017 ‘What can you do?’ theme and volunteered to give their blood to help save others. We are proud to host this annual event to help NBC raise awareness and encourage more people to donate to this good cause.”

Applauding the Centre’s 10th successive blood donation campaign, the InvestKL Director, Finance, Admin & Human Resources, Mathew George, said “This is an excellent community initiative and weare proud to support the Centre’s campaign. 12 of our team members donated this year and we look forward to returning next year with many more donors.”

Regular donor and the Centre’s AV Technician, Kalai Arasan A/L Gunaseelan, shared that he donates blood every couple of months. “I find it (donating blood) relaxing, and I feel happy that I am able to help someone,” he explained when donating blood for the 21st time.
