More than 700 vets, dermatology specialists and exhibitors from all over the world will attend the three-day event. As well as a wide range of scientific workshops, congress delegates will be able to take advantage of a variety of social activities, starting with a welcome reception at the Olympic Museum on the banks of Lake Leman. An exclusive party will also be held in Grandvaux, an area of ancient vineyards and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other social activities will give delegates important ‘time-out’ and include wine tasting in Lavaux, a Lake Geneva cruise, and a walking tour of the historical city of Lausanne.

Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau will support the event with a number of operational services, including excursion management and accommodation coordination, using Lausanne’s bespoke hotel booking platform which optimises value for purchasers of accommodation.

Dr Luc Beco, Coordinator of the ESVD-ECVD Congress, says: “We chose Lausanne as it offers a wide variety of options in terms of venues and the surrounding area, such as its close proximity to the Lavaux vineyards for our gala evening. The SwissTech Convention Center is exceptional and is the most technologically capable venue that I have ever visited, backed up by a friendly and motivated team. Neither could we think of a better venue than the Olympic Museum to host our welcome event, with a superb view of the lake and the Olympic spirit to enthuse delegates at the start of our congress.”

Olivier Mathieu, Congress and Meetings Manager at Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau, says: “Lausanne is a hub for international medical conferences, and ESVD-ECVD’s event programme is an excellent example of the extensive conference work and leisure options that we are able to offer. For events that want to run a series of tailored workshops simultaneously, the SwissTech Convention Center comes into its own, as it can easily deal with any delegate capacity, while offering room configuration flexibility. We look forward to welcoming the ESVD-ECVD annual congress to the wonderful city of Lausanne.”
