Interel and AMG join forces

Brussels based globalpublic affairs and association management consulting firm, Interel, have completed the acquisition of one of the America’s leading independent association management firms, Association Management Group, Inc. (AMG). The transaction, which was officially concluded on Monday February 6 sees AMG become a wholly owned part of the Interel.

The union results in a truly global brand with a staff of over 200 professionals, supported by more than 1000 affiliate partners in 60 markets and expanded scope to provide integrated worldwide strategic management, consulting, communications and public affairs solutions that assist clients in achieving their goals.

Bob Lewis, Group Head of Association Management at Interel said, “While we have a strong European footprint and work with a number of leading European Associations, about 40% of our revenues come from US-based clients.  and our management has held key leadership positions in many US-based industry associations.  Now, through this merger with AMG, we will realize a more robust strategic and operational base in the important US marketto complement our management, meetings and advocacy capabilities in Europe, making us the premier global company in our space.”
