Innovating Justice Forum 2017 Takes Place in The Hague Next Week

The city of The Hague is excited to host the 8th Annual Innovating Justice Forum at the Peace Palace on 7 December. The e​vent will bring together international experts in government, law, business, and justice to discuss this year’s theme “Breaking Barriers to Justice Innovation.” 

The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law, Hiil, will host the one-day event. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, discuss, and learn from the top experts in justice innovation. 

Topics at this year’s event include lean start-up methodology, big data analysis, procedural redesign, and more. Additionally, attendees can join a wide variety of breakout sessions where they will receive concrete, skills-driven workshops from experts on justice innovation. 

Amongst the event participants will be justice leaders such as Hon. Justice Bart M. Katureebe Chief Justice of Uganda, Dr. Willy Mutunga Former Chief Justice of Kenya & founding member of the Justice Leadership Group, H.E. Mr. Mamadou Ismaël Konaté Minister of Justice and Human Rights of the Republic of Mali, H.E. Mr. Abdulla A.J. Al-Majid Assistant Minister and Chief Innovation Officer, Ministry of Justice, UAE.

Moreover, 15 finalists of the Innovating Justice Challenge, entrepreneurs that are improving access to justice in their countries, will be attending the event.

The Hague has a long-lasting reputation as the international city of peace and justice. It has been a stage for progressive peace conferences since 1899. Since then, the city continues to be a place that encourages peace and justice innovation around the world.
