IAPCO’s Destination Partners have a unique experience at the IAPCO Annual Meeting. It has to be understood that the Annual Meeting is a closed meeting, open only to IAPCO members and invited guests, that is, destination partners. Furthermore, IAPCO destination partners are limited to one per region of the world, hence six partners only are invited to join the IAPCO members for three days of networking, education, 1:2:1 contact and the opportunity to become part of the IAPCO family.
But partners are not just left to their own networking devices. The “Partners’ Session” is a fun, interactive session, where members, divided into small groups, each have to create a marketing vlog for their allocated destination, around a specific theme. The vlogs require research, ingenuity and creativity, props provided of course by the partners, and will be judged by the members, with an “enormous” prize for the best vlog.
Partners have their own Focus Group Meeting as well as meeting with the Council to discuss the various partnerships and activities. There is the opportunity for the partners to have a 10-minute promotional slot which, over time, has developed into a creative learning experience.
Being able to participate in the programme, social events and activities, encourages partners to be an integral part of the IAPCO family, networking with all and meeting with individuals alike.
Yes, partners (or if you prefer, sponsors) really do benefit from meetings as long as they are given the opportunity to do so.
