Central Hall Westminster launched a new partnership with the Association of Association Executives (AAE) by hosting the first in a series of ten member seminars on Digital Transformation on Thursday 19th October.

The first seminar, held in the central London venue’s George Thomas Room, began the year-long series with a session on General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and was attended by 16 members of the AAE.

The two hour session was led by an expert in GDPR helping associations to understand the facts behind the fiction surrounding the new GDPR, coming into effect in May 2018.

Association members were given the opportunity to take a tour of Central Hall Westminster, which revealed its historic and architecturally significant event spaces. A drinks reception topped off the highly educational afternoon.

Damian Hutt, Executive Director of the AAE, comments: “We are delighted to be working with Central Hall Westminster in hosting our series of seminars on Digital Transformation for 2017/2018.  This is a fantastic venue in the heart of London – it’s very impressive and unique.  Our members’ education is important to us. Being able to invite them to attend educational events at Central Hall gives us the confidence that they receive the very best from an event venue.”

Paul Southern, Managing Director of Central Hall Westminster, adds: “We are thrilled to be launching this new partnership with the AAE and playing host to such a valuable series of learning sessions for association members. The first event was very successful with some fantastic feedback and we are looking forward to hosting the next nine in the year to come.”

As part of this new partnership, we will also be attending the Associations UK Congress on December 14th and 15th which we are really looking forward to,” he added.
