Barcelona warmly welcomes all participants attending IBTM World taking place from November 28th-30th.

Christoph Tessmar, Managing Director of the Barcelona Convention Bureau, says “Here in Barcelona, everything is calm and we are going about our daily life without any disruptions. This applies to events taking place in the city. For example, we hosted the UEGW Congress (United European Gastroenterology Week, Oct. 28 – Nov. 1) with almost 15,000 attendees. The event took place at the same venue as ibtm world and everything ran very smoothly. Currently, no more demonstrations are scheduled, and the most recent ones had no impact on transportation in the city. The airport and hotels weren’t affected during the political crisis and it remains business as usual.

Furthermore, Ibtm world is working closely with their local partners to identify any potential risks of disruption and consequently assess these to develop any plans necessary to ensure a safe and successful show.
